OurStory

England | October 2023

A Wrong Turn

Once upon a time, a girl named Bri moved to England, not knowing a soul. Through work at Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, she met a guy named Blaise.

When a work event came up in London, she discovered he lived in the same town and asked if they could take the train in together, just in case she got lost.

He got them lost anyway.

To make up for it, he showed her around his hometown of Godalming. That went considerably better.

Two of a Kind | November 2025

Off to Texas

It turned out they were alarmingly alike. Neither could go to bed until the dishes were done, and neither could eat anywhere without drafting a marketing plan for the restaurant before dessert.

So they packed up everything (yes, all of those suitcases) and moved to Texas.

Happily Ever After

Today they live in a home of their own with two very entertaining Pomeranians, Peanut and Pickles.

They also run their own creative agency together, Beurre Blanc Creative.

And yes, the dishes still get done first.

One more chapter, and it’s a good one.

TheProposal

A Winter in Finland

January 2025

First, the Ring

Before there was a proposal, there was a ring. Blaise and Bri designed it together with a jeweler in London, every detail from the top down.

When they saw the diamond, they both gasped. That was the one.

Off to Finland

Not long after, they set off on a winter adventure: snowboarding on slopes lit up in pink and purple, cozy nights in a glass igloo, and a husky ride through the snowy forest.

The Bridge

Bri had a feeling a proposal was coming, but when and where was still a mystery. So when Blaise casually suggested she bring her drone on their walk, she happily agreed.

They came across a snowy bridge over a rushing river. Bri thought it would make the perfect drone shot.

On the bridge, Blaise asked one simple question: “Are you recording?”

She was. Then he got down on one knee. “Baby…” was all he managed to say at first.

Then came the words: “Will you marry me?”

She Said Yes!

There were happy tears, a ring on Bri’s finger, and a kiss in the middle of a Finnish winter.

The First “I Do”

In case you hadn’t heard, they’re already married! They made it official in England.

But it didn’t feel complete without everyone they love.

So now they’re doing it properly, here in Texas, with all of you.

Getting Around

A rental car or rideshare is the easiest way to reach the venue, and parking is free on site. If enough of you stay at the Wildwood Inn, we may arrange shared transport too, and we’ll let you know.

Getting toTexas

Coming from the UK or further afield?
Here’s what’s worth knowing before you fly.

Flying in

Book into Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). American Airlines flies nonstop from London Heathrow several times a day, and it’s around 10 hours in the air. Connecting from elsewhere in the US? Dallas Love Field (DAL) is another option, and it’s closer to the city.

Entering the US

UK passport holders need an approved ESTA before flying. Apply only through the official site, esta.cbp.dhs.gov. It’s best to apply as soon as you book, and at least 72 hours before you travel. You’ll need an e-passport, the kind with the chip symbol on the cover. Travelling on another passport? Check what your country requires.

Getting around

Dallas is built for driving, so a rental car is the easiest way to get around. All the major rental companies are at DFW, and Uber and Lyft are widely available too. A UK licence is usually fine for a short visit, but check with your rental company when you book.

Timing your trip

The wedding is on a Thursday, so we’d suggest arriving by Tuesday to shake off the jet lag. Texas is six hours behind the UK.

The weather

Late May in Texas is warm, usually in the mid-80s °F (around 29°C), with the odd thunderstorm. Pack light layers, plus something for chilly air-conditioned rooms, because Texans love their air conditioning.

Good to know

Tipping is expected, around 18 to 20% at restaurants and bars. You’ll need a US plug adapter. We’d also recommend travel insurance with medical cover, as healthcare in the US can be expensive.

OurRegistry

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for.

For those who have asked, we’ve put together a few things close to our hearts: memories from our honeymoon in Japan, and a few pieces for our home.
